Lose the Desktop, Stay Mobile

Checking email, taking notes, sending messages in a variety of styles to a variety of devices, listening to music, taking pictures/videos - these are things done easier on a small mobile device than on a desktop or laptop.

It's fair to say the desktop computer is no longer useful or needed, but for some things we still need the laptop as a standby. I'd say we're a breakthrough in mobile display technology away from ditching these beasts as well though. While smaller drives with more memory and fast mobile internet speeds are here, browsing and other tasks can be a pain on that tiny little screen.

Something like a built in projector that would allow you to project a sizable screen whilst still keeping the device small is one idea. A cloth-like collapsible screen is another.
