Google Reader is Awesome
If you're not on board with Google Reader, you should be. It allows you to subscribe to all your favorite blogs (like this one) and read them all in one place. If you're not into blogging, or even know what that means, it's ok. The word blog is kinda lame, but what the concept is awesome.
This is how they work, take this one as an example. I post new things every now and then, usually several times a day. You could just keep coming back and see if I updated something. Or you could subscribe, and you'd be alerted every time I update. If you subscribe in Google Reader, and you subscribe to several blogs, then you can just check there instead of checking the 10 different sites you'd usually check.
Think of it like email, but an inbox to the internet. The lead programmer of Google Reader makes it easier for you to think of it like that, as he has unofficially integrated Reader into Gmail by using greasemonkey. You install greasemonkey first (a firefox plugin, and takes about 25 seconds, so if you're busy I understand...) and then install his script automatically. You'll see.
The integration is pretty tight, but I suggest you check out the reader in it's pure state and get a hang of some quick keys so you can really start cruising around.
